*We need a volunteer to run our Membership program! With our new facility we hope to see new members coming forward and new member rewards… but we need someone to develop and manage the program! If you’re interested, please contact us at 360.424.5151*
The Heritage Flight Museum proudly launched their Membership program at the annual Warbird Weekend in August 2006. Still in its infancy, we look forward to developing it over the coming years. At this time, Members at all levels receive: a membership card and bumper sticker, free admission to the museum & reduced pricing at some special events.
Annual Memberships are available at the following levels:
- Family (2 adults & children under 16yo)
- Student (copy of ID required)
- Military (active or retired, copy of ID required)
Memberships can be purchased at the Museum directly, or online using the tool above.
Volunteering at the Heritage Flight Museum will give you the opportunity to interact with some of the rarest vintage aircraft still flying. Volunteers are an essential part of our efforts; not only do they represent the Museum to our visitors, but they keep things running smoothly!
Positions that we are currently recruiting for are listed below. If you are interested in volunteering for one of the listed positions, or feel that you can bring something else to the organization, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 360.424.5151 to begin the application process. All prospective volunteers must clear a Washington State Patrol background check before completing an application and interview.
Volunteer positions that we regularly need to fill include:
- Membership Coordinator
- Education & Outreach Coordinator
- Event Committee Member
- Grant Writer/Fundraising
- Event Staff
The Heritage Flight Museum is a 501(c)(3) organization, that has also qualified as a private operating foundation under section 4942(j)(3) of the IRS code. Whether you have a spare bill or a million dollars, no matter what the amount, your thoughtful contribution will help us fulfill our mission to honor veterans and keep military aviation history alive! HFM will issue a Letter of Receipt to financial donors who supply us with their name and mailing address. Please speak to your accountant if you have questions about any limitations to your contribution. You can contribute in the following ways:
- Make your check payable to ‘Heritage Flight Museum’, and bring it or mail it to us at: 15053 Crosswind Dr, Burlington, WA 98233
- Hand deliver your donation next time we’re open!
- Do you have family memorabilia to donate? See below for more on donating memorabilia.
- HFM is registered with the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program. If you register your Fred Meyer rewards card, you can select HFM as a beneficiary – each time you purchase and earn points, Freddies will make a donation to HFM!
Does your employer have a matching grants program? If they do, they may ‘match’ some or all of your contribution to the Heritage Flight Museum!

Remember our Museum in your estate planning. Leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Please speak to your estate planning professional.
Our collection includes everything from uniforms to pilot handbooks and handwritten mission notes… many donated by the men and women who served our country. We ask that you supply a list of the items you are donating, and a brief history of the person to whom they belonged so that we might catalog and display everything properly. Contact us to find out if we are currently accepting memorabilia donations
The Heritage Flight Museum holds a number of special events throughout the year, in addition to our once-a-month fly days. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring, please contact our Events Coordinator Diane Dietsch (email@example.com) for information on events and more importantly on the many benefits of sponsorship!
Various programs at the Museum could use the assistance of a sponsor as well. From materials to funds, the following programs are in need of support:
