The Lycoming O-145 is a family of small low horsepower, four cylinder, air cooled, horizontally opposed aircraft engines produced from 1938 through the late 1940’s.

This engine is an O-145-B2, a four cylinder, direct drive, 65 hp engine with a maximum RPM of 2,550. These engines were discontinued in August of 1949 and replaced with the Lycoming O-235 series. The 65hp O-145-B2 was most commonly found on the Piper J-3 Cub.
