facilities expansion

capital campaign

The Heritage Flight Museum is launching a $1.8M Facilities Expansion Capital Campaign to turn our wonderful hangars at Skagit-Bayview Airport into a true destination museum and events center. In our effort to build a sustainable museum facility to meet our goal of "Honoring Veterans and Keeping History Alive", this facility expansion will include event appropriate restrooms, a dedicated maintenance hangar, an Apollo 8 feature gallery and entryway, a 1968 room covering the many tragic events of that year leading up to the flight, offices appropriate for long term management of the museum and collection, and more. Making this expansion will allow for events venue income to sustain the museum and the space to meet the goal of developing a youth education program.

Join us in moving HFM to its full potential as a resource for preserving history and improving education.
